Every family MUST fill at least 1 VOLUNTEER POSITION. Home meets require close to 150 shifts. We need every position filled to run a smooth meet and encourage veteran families to step into trained and more advanced positions and to take afternoon shifts. Do NOT sign up for a team parent if you cannot be on time at 6:30am!

6:00am – Meet Set-up

6:40am – Swimmer & Volunteer Check-in ***If you are late and do not communicate with coach, your swimmer will be scratched from the meet.

*Please do not set up your family tent until the deck is set-up!!! If you arrive early, you will help the set-up crew! Space inside the pool area is limited but there is plenty of space for all in the overflow area just outside the pool deck. There are also plenty of bleachers and space for observing your swimmers during their races.

*We will host a snack bar - you may pay with cash or Venmo.

*Bring towels, sunscreen, chairs, and activities for kids between races. It will be warm, bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

*The 6 & under swimmers should be done before Noon. All others should plan to stay until the meet is over (approx. 2pm). Do NOT leave without confirming with coaches that you are finished for the afternoon.

*HAVE FUN! Mingle with other swim families, cheer on all Rocket swimmers. Demonstrate great sportsmanship (be respectful to competitors, shake hands at the end of races).

Meet Details -

Location: The Sacramento Stingrays are currently swimming at Sacramento City College:

Sac City College, Hoos Pool 3835 Freeport Sacramento, CA 95822

Parking/Pool Entrance Although the school address is on Freeport Blvd, you will enter off of Sutterville Rd and turn into the campus at the football stadium. You may park in the small lot near the pool entrance (West lot), in the parking structure (we expect it to be open), or in the very large lot behind the parking structure. The facility does technically require a parking pass, which can be purchased at the stations in the small lot and on the second floor of the parking structure for $2. The school has not been ticketing, but parking without a pass is at your own risk and your mileage may vary.

Pool/set-up location Please note that the pool itself is INDOORS and will be noisy, and it can be very hot and humid. Although we will have the door open on the north side of the building for ventilation, everyone must enter the pool from the south door. Team areas are noted below and must be set up on the grass, but you may set up anywhere on the grass. We must keep walkways clear for campus police. We recommend sharing tents if possible so that you aren’t too far away! There is limited bleacher space inside, so we request that families do not camp out on the bleachers.

Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the baseball stadium, which is right next to the pool entrance. There are locker rooms with restrooms on the pool deck, but these will be used for last minute swimmer restroom visits only.

Ready Bench: We run a ready bench for ages 12 and under. We have a tent set up for 13+ swimmers if your older swimmers would like to hang out there with the Stingray swimmers. :) Older swimmers are also welcome to go to the ready bench if they would like, but it is not required.

Snack Bar: We have a Snack Bar with a variety of fresh and packaged food items. We accept cash, card or tap, but prefer card or tap pay, when possible.

Estimated Timeline: Scratch begins at 7:45 Saturday morning. The visiting team's warm-ups are from 7:45-8:15. Please use the schedule below to plan your morning (we try very hard to stick to this schedule):

7:00: Facility opens

7:10-7:40: Stingrays warm-up

7:45-8:15: Visiting team warm-up

8:00: Stroke & Turn and Timers meetings on deck

8:20: Team cheers

8:25: Timers to their seats

8:25: 6u and 7-8 relays to the blocks

8:30: Meet begins!

Note: we ask that the 6u and 7-8 relays head to the blocks instead of the ready bench for the first relay to get things moving a little faster!

Welcome Visiting Teams!! The Stingrays are excited to host visiting teams at our pool. Please see the following information to help with your team's visit.

Pool Location - The Stingray pool is located at 2201 Gold Rush Drive, Gold River, CA 95670, in the Spare Times Gold River Sports Club property. A map of the club has been included at the bottom of this page to reference to key areas.

Parking - Home team parking in the Gold River Sports Club parking lot will be limited and will be first come, first served. Visiting team and overflow parking for the home team is located directly behind the pool in a business park located at 2377 Gold Meadow Way. There is a gate entrance to the club just east of the parking lot. Please see the map of the club at the bottom of this page for reference.

Facilities - Two outdoor heated pools, one competition (six lanes) and one recreational (four lanes). The recreational pool will be available for warm-ups for swimmers 9 and up - no recreational swimming, during the meet and there is a lifeguard on duty. Restrooms are located within the club.

Club Café - Our club café, located just inside the club provides breakfast burritos and other snacks in the morning, followed by hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. Cash and credit accepted.

Team Areas - Visiting Teams: We invite the visiting teams to set up in the grassy area just inside the back-entrance gate and around the non-competitive pool. There is limited space, so please plan to share tents when possible! Please see the club map at the bottom of the page outlining designated team areas.

Please enter through designated areas only, do not enter through the front entrance of the club. No parking is permitted on Gold Rush Drive, please use the designated parking lots.

Start of season Time Trials to be held at the Rollingwood YMCA. This is our first TIMED swim event, essentially a 'practice meet'. Swimmers will swim in each stroke coaches are confident they are ready to swim and get stroke times for future meets. Parents will also get a chance to try out new volunteer positions.

IMPORTANT Time Trials INFORMATION:

• Parking will be tight! Please try to limit one vehicle per family, or park the 2nd vehicle outside of the Y parking lot.
• No Family Tents may be set-up prior to 8:00am - and only when the deck area has been completely set-up. If you arrive early, you will be asked to help with set-up. Family tents may only be set up in the circle. 
• The Family Seating Area on the pool deck will have Rockets tents set up for swimmers and families to gather in. If you do not have your own tent, cannot stay the entire event, or are new to the team, feel free to utilize this area as your home base. Bring chairs or blankets and hang-out here!
• The hot tubs and cut-outs will be off limits to swimmers during Time Trials. Swimmers ages 11 and up may use the indoor pool to warm-up, only if there is not a class taking place and a lane is available.
• Everyone is welcome to observe their swimmers in the Spectator Area. Please keep this area open and do not keep your chairs or personal items in this area.
• All Swimmers and Volunteers will check-in at the Volunteer Tent. Please see the above check-in times.
