Location: Gora Aquatic Center - Parking is available along the street, in the aquatic center parking lot, and in the large Galt Market parking lot directly across the street from the pool.

Gates will open at 6:30 am. The visiting team area is a large grass field right behind the pool at Fairsite Elementary. You can access this by walking through the skate park. Please see the facility map on the next page. They have a snack bar that offers a variety of foods for sale and a local coffee shop that is a short one-and-a-half block walk to the North of the facility.

There is a large bleacher area for excellent viewing of the meet, but they ask that families do not camp out in the bleachers so that there is plenty of room for everyone to view the meet.

Visiting stroke and turn judges should report to the scoring table no later than 8:10am for the official's meeting. All other volunteers should report to their positions no later than 8:20am to ensure the meet starts on time.

General Meet Reminders:

• A pop-up tent, chairs, or picnic blanket will be your “home” for the day. It’s going to be close to 90 degrees, so shade will be important.
• It’s a good idea to pack in plenty of healthy snacks, and water for the meet. Limit junk food until after the meet.
• Bring towels, sunscreen, chairs, and activities for kids between races.
• The 6 & under swimmers should be done by Noon. All others should plan to stay until the meet is over (approx. 2pm).
• HAVE FUN! Mingle with other swim families, cheer on all Rocket swimmers. Demonstrate great sportsmanship (shake hands at the end of races).

Home meets require the MOST volunteers. Each family is expected to fill at least 1 VOLUNTEER POSITION. Sign-up for your position NOW - or you will be assigned one. Home meets require over 100 shifts and we need every position filled to run a smooth meet and get out of the heat as soon as possible.

*Veteran families, please step into trained / more advanced position or take a shift 2 afternoon job. Do NOT sign up for a team parent if you cannot be on time at 6:30am!

Also, every swimmer MUST be registered with NCSL (Nor Cal Swim League). Please make sure you have registered and paid the fee.

If you are not able to make the meet and you missed the sign-out window or have a sick swimmer/emergency the day of the meet and will not be attending, you must text a Coach.

*Please plan to share tents with other families. Space inside the pool area is limited. Tents may spill out onto the sidewalk area near the parking lot. There are also plenty of bleachers for observing.

*We will host a snack bar - you may pay with cash or card.

*Bring towels, sunscreen, chairs, and activities for kids between races. It will be warm, bring plenty of water to stay hydrated.

*The 6 & under swimmers should be done before Noon. All others should plan to stay until the meet is over (approx. 2pm). Do NOT leave without confirming with coaches that you are finished for the afternoon.

*HAVE FUN! Mingle with other swim families, cheer on all Rocket swimmers. Demonstrate great sportsmanship (be respectful to competitors, shake hands at the end of races).

Start of season Time Trials to be held at the Rollingwood YMCA. This is our first TIMED swim event, essentially a 'practice meet'. Swimmers will swim in each stroke coaches are confident they are ready to swim and get stroke times for future meets. Parents will also get a chance to try out new volunteer positions.

Tentative Event Schedule:

• 8:00am - Meet Set-up Crew Arrival Time
• 9:15am - Team Parent Arrival Time
• 9:30am - Swimmer and Volunteer Check-in
• 9:40 - Warm-ups (swimmers 9 and up)
• 10:15am - Time Trials Begin

*If you are not able to make time trials and you miss the sign-out window or have a sick swimmer/emergency the day of the meet and will not be attending, you must text a Coach.

IMPORTANT Time Trials INFORMATION:

• No Family Tents may be set-up prior to 9:00am - and only when the deck area has been completely set-up. If you arrive early, you will be asked to help with set-up.
• Parking will be tight! We have moved our team area to the circle to allow for maximum parking. Please try to limit one vehicle per family when possible. 
• The Family Seating Area will have Rockets tents set up for swimmers and families to gather in. If you do not have your own tent, cannot stay the entire event, or are new to the team, this is the spot for you. Bring chairs or blankets and hang-out here!
• The hot tubs and cut-outs will be off limits to swimmers during Time Trials. Swimmers ages 11 and up may use the indoor pool to warm-up, only if there is not a class taking place and a lane is available.
• Everyone is welcome to observe their swimmers in the Spectator Area. Please keep this area open and do not keep your chairs or personal items in this area.
• All Swimmers and Volunteers will check-in at the Volunteer Tent. Please see the above check-in times.
