Full Schedule Below! IMPORTANT CHAMPS DETAILS: Please read carefully before RSVPing or selecting a Volunteer Job Please RSVP by MONDAY, July 13th at NOON! A RSVP - YES means your swimmer will attend BOTH Saturday and Sunday (6 & unders only attend Saturday) and can stay for the entirety of the meet (typically ends around 6pm). Please select ONE Volunteer Job for EACH DAY in attendance. Please choose the highest position you are trained for. *Please do not take a team parent role of an age group you do not have a child in. You do not want to miss any races doing your job. *Veteran families, please choose positions in shift 4 when possible - this is relays and finals and when we want all timer and deck positions to be our most experience volunteers. *if you were assigned a job by the volunteer coordinator and you cannot make that work, please reach out to Michelle 916-284-9275 *Your chosen job/time/position may be changed based on team needs. Our final Dual Meet for Champs is in Amador. Don't miss out on this Rocket favorite! The location is amazing with tons of shade. Meet Details:
We're going to Jackson, Home of the Amador Polar Bears! Located at 530 Sutter Street, Jackson CA 95642. Parking is available at the ball field above the park and pool area noted on the map below in green. There is no parking in the shopping center or Library below the pool, violators will be towed. There is a plenty of shade, but you can also set up tents anywhere on the grassy hill. Polar Bears tend to congregate on the lower part of the grassy area and the visitor team on the upper section. They have a snack bar that offers a variety of foods, including breakfast burritos and lunch specials. The bleacher area is excellent for viewing the meet, but they ask that families do not camp out in the bleachers so that there is plenty of room for everyone to watch their swimmer. As a reminder there is no photography from the diving ends of the pool. General Meet Reminders:

📋 Booster Club Board Meeting – Wednesday, July 8 | 6:00 PM All Rockets families are invited to attend our Booster Club Board Meeting on Wednesday, July 8 at 6:00 PM, upstairs at the Rollingwood YMCA. As we begin planning for next season, we are looking for volunteers to help lead our team. We'd love to have new parents get involved and consider joining or shadowing a board position for the next season. We also have some event lead and planning roles we are looking for support with. Serving on the Board is a great way to support our swimmers, meet other families, and help shape the future of the Rockets! Whether you're interested in a Board position or just want to learn more about how our team operates, everyone is welcome to attend! |

$100 Club - Swimathon Fundraiser Party

$100 Club Party Swimmers who raised $100 or more during the Swim-A-Thon are invited to a special party this evening with the coaches from 6pm-7:30pm. There is still time to get donations in! You may bring them to the party, Venmo, or submit online. Checks should be made out to YMCA of Superior CA. Practices for the day will remain the same, exception is that there is no practices during the party...only AM practice for ages 9-18. |

Meet three of the season is hosted by the Galt Gators! RSVP to SWIM and choose a volunteer job by Wednesday @ NOON Location: Gora Aquatic Center - Parking is available along the street, in the aquatic center parking lot, and in the large Galt Market parking lot directly across the street from the pool. 630 Chabolla Ave.
Gates will open at 6:30 am. The visiting team area is a large grass field right behind the pool at Fairsite Elementary. You can access this by walking through the skate park. Please see the facility map on the next page. They have a snack bar that offers a variety of foods for sale and a local coffee shop that is a short one-and-a-half block walk to the North of the facility.There is a large bleacher area for excellent viewing of the meet, but they ask that families do not camp out in the bleachers so that there is plenty of room for everyone to view the meet. Visiting stroke and turn judges should report to the scoring table no later than 8:10am for the official's meeting. All other volunteers should report to their positions no later than 8:20am to ensure the meet starts on time. ***The Gators will be using the TIME DROPS APP for the meet*** General Meet Reminders:

Rollingwood vs. Sutter Lawn - Home Meet
Home Meet
Every family MUST fill at least 1 VOLUNTEER POSITION. Home meets require close to 150 shifts. We need every position filled to run a smooth meet and encourage veteran families to step into trained and more advanced positions and to take afternoon shifts. Do NOT sign up for a team parent if you cannot be on time at 6:30am! If you are not able to make the meet and you missed the sign-out window or have a sick swimmer/emergency the day of the meet and will not be attending, you must text a Coach. Coach Steve: 916-365-5030 Coach Allison: 916-337-6337 Volunteer Coordinator Michelle: 916-284-9275 General Meet Information: 6:00am – Meet Set-up 6:30am – Team Parent Check-in (please be on time : ) 6:40am – Swimmer & Volunteer Check-in ***If you are late and do not communicate with coach, your swimmer will be scratched from the meet. 7:00am – Warm-ups Begin 8:30am – Meet Begins Our meet is at OAKMONT HIGH SCHOOL
*Please do not set up your family tent until the deck is set-up!!! If you arrive early, you will help the set-up crew! Space inside the pool area is limited but there is plenty of space for all in the overflow area just outside the pool deck. There are also plenty of bleachers and space for observing your swimmers during their races. *We will host a snack bar - you may pay with cash or Venmo. *Bring towels, sunscreen, chairs, and activities for kids between races. It will be warm, bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. *The 6 & under swimmers should be done before Noon. All others should plan to stay until the meet is over (approx. 2pm). Do NOT leave without confirming with coaches that you are finished for the afternoon. *HAVE FUN! Mingle with other swim families, cheer on all Rocket swimmers. Demonstrate great sportsmanship (be respectful to competitors, shake hands at the end of races). Go Rockets!!!! |

It's SWIMATHON Time!!!
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS 7:00am-10:30am: Swim-A-thon Sessions during practice times for swimmers ages 9-18 4:00pm- 6:30pm: Swim-A-thon Sessions during practice times for swimmers ages 6-12, with 1 make-up session for older swimmers 6:00-7:00pm: Dinner (the plan is... Pizza, Salad, Fruit, Cookies, Lemonade) 6:30pm: Parent Relay Try-outs 7:00pm-9:00pm: Family Swim What is a Swim-A-Thon? A fun challenge to see how many laps each swimmer can swim in a given time and a fun way to raise money for the Rockets! Step 1: COLLECT PLEDGES - There are two ways to collect pledges: (1) Online Fundraiser Page - instructions below (2) traditional pledge sheet - available on the website in the 'team resource' tab Step 2: Add to our Auction and Raffle AUCTION - Help us secure donations for our auction, and bid on your favorite items! RAFFLES - We are collecting small toys and items that swimmers would like to win in a raffle. All swimmers attending the Swimathon will be given 10 raffle tickets to enter into several prize drawings. Ideas for donation: small gift cards to kid favs, toys, water toys, art kits/supplies...anything fun for kids and teens. A box to collect any donations you may have will be placed at the Rollingwood Y Front Desk. Step 3: SWIM - Swimmers will swim for 10 to 30 minutes, depending on practice groups. See JOB SIGNUP to choose a time slot and see time blocks for each group. Sign up each kid for a session by signing up (like you do for volunteering) for a slot that correlates to their age group. Step 4: HAVE FUN! - Party in the outdoor pool starting at 7pm! *Swimmers who raise $100 or more in pledges will be invited to attend the '$100 Club Pool Party' on July from 6pm-8pm. ***Please come prepared to tally laps for your own swimmers. We will also need volunteers to help with checking in, dinner service, . WANTED: parent swimmers! Try-out for our Freestyle PARENT RELAY TEAM - 'The Bottle Rockets' race at Champs against the parents of the other teams and it is so much fun! Rockets Team Picture Day & Sunsplash

Team Photos will be scheduled at 8:30AM. Individual and buddy photos can be taken between 8am-8:30 and following the team shot. The process to take individual photos and the team photo usually takes about 1 hour. The order form with pricing is attached (coming soon) - copies will be provided the day of pictures. Following pictures, we are inviting all Rockets Families & Friends to join us at Sunsplash in Roseville for a day of fun at the waterpark from 11am-5pm. Tickets for Sunsplash are $35 per person (all who enter must have a ticket - we got lucky and they gave us the school rate this year).
